Order Processing

Orders are typically processed within 1-2 business days of receipt. Orders placed on weekends or holidays will be processed the following business day. You will receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking information once your order has shipped.

Shipping Methods and Rates

We offer the following shipping options at checkout:

USPS - Ground with Signature Required (Recommended)
Includes signature confirmation upon delivery. This option provides the highest level of protection against lost or stolen packages, as delivery must be acknowledged by a person at the address.

USPS - Priority with Signature Required (Recommended)
Includes signature confirmation upon delivery. This option provides the highest level of protection against lost or stolen packages, as delivery must be acknowledged by a person at the address.

USPS - Ground No Signature (Customer Assumes Risk of Loss)
A lower-cost option that does not require a signature at delivery. By selecting this option, the customer acknowledges and accepts the risks outlined in the "Liability and Risk of Loss" section below. 

NOTE: We highly recommend selecting Signature Required. If for some reason you are not home when the delivery takes place and the USPS leaves a notice, you can always sign the back of the notice and ask them to leave the package on your doorstep if you feel comfortable doing so. You can also name someone else to visit the post office and pickup the package on your behalf. Lastly, you can reschedule the delivery for a better day and time that works for you.

Delivery Times

Estimated delivery times are provided by USPS and are not guaranteed. Once a package leaves our facility, delivery timelines are controlled by the carrier. We are not responsible for delays caused by the carrier, weather, natural disasters, or other circumstances outside our control.

Liability and Risk of Loss

Signature Required Shipments: When you select a shipping method that includes signature confirmation, your package is protected against loss or theft after delivery. If a package marked as "delivered" by USPS does not have a corresponding signature record, we will work with you and the carrier to resolve the issue, including filing a claim and issuing a replacement or refund where appropriate.

Non-Signature Shipments: When you select a shipping method that does not include signature confirmation, you assume full responsibility for the package once USPS marks it as "delivered." We are unable to issue refunds, replacements, or store credit for packages confirmed delivered by USPS tracking when signature confirmation was waived at the time of purchase. This includes, but is not limited to, packages reported as stolen, missing, or not received after a delivery confirmation has been recorded by the carrier.

By selecting a non-signature shipping option at checkout, you acknowledge that you have read and accepted these terms. 

Lost or Stolen Packages

If your package is marked as delivered but you have not received it:

  1. Check with household members, neighbors, and your building's mailroom or front desk.
  2. Contact your local USPS office with your tracking number.
  3. File a missing mail search request at usps.com.

For signature-required shipments confirmed lost or stolen, we will initiate a claim and work toward a resolution. For non-signature shipments, please refer to the Liability and Risk of Loss section above.

Damaged Packages

If your package arrives damaged, please photograph the packaging and contents and contact us at hello@touchofstrand.com within 1-2 days of delivery. We will work with USPS to file a claim and arrange a replacement or refund.

Incorrect Shipping Addresses

Customers are responsible for providing accurate shipping information at checkout. We are not liable for orders shipped to addresses entered incorrectly by the customer. If a package is returned to us due to an incorrect address, the customer is responsible for reshipment costs.
